I started coming to see Adam and Betsy Learner in March of 2009. I came for a number of reasons but mostly for some help with weight loss. I am a massage therapist and I was referred by my boss who is also one of my clients. For years, she had suffered from back pain. After seeing Adam and Betsy for just a few weeks, she had become basically, pain free! I was sold! After the second treatment I noticed a big difference in the way I felt. I had more energy and I finally felt like could keep up with my 2 children. I had been dieting before going to Family Acupuncture but I had hit a plateau. I would lose a pound and then gain. This was very frustrating. Once my mood had been dealt with through acupuncture, we began to work on the weight. Around the third week of treatment I started to notice a better weight loss. Instead of losing one pound, I would lose two. This time, they stayed off! I was thrilled. During my treatment at Family Acupuncture, a lot of personal things occurred. There were stitches for my oldest child, a death of a family friend and my 83 year old grandmother had some major surgery. The “Old me” would not have been able to deal with all of the emotions that came along with that week without feeling like I was going to have a major breakdown. I truly feel that the treatment I was receiving from Adam and Betsy got me through the rough spot. And the herbs that Adam had started me on, well they were the icing on the cake! I am so happy with the results of my treatment at Family Acupuncture.
